Peec AI is one of the better products in AI search analytics: a clean interface, solid competitor and source views, and unlimited seats on every plan. If it fits your work, you don't need an alternative. People look for one for a handful of specific reasons, and each points to a different tool. This page is organised by reason, not by a ranking.

Why agencies look beyond Peec

Across 2026 reviews and published "alternatives" guides, the reasons fall into five groups:

  1. Cost across many clients. Peec prices by prompts and models. That's fair for one brand, but an agency with 15 clients at 20 prompts each needs 300 prompts, which pushes it into the higher tiers or its agency program.
  2. Engine coverage. Reviews report three models included by default, with more as paid add-ons. A client who insists on Claude or Google AI Overviews changes the maths.
  3. Reporting to clients. Peec is built for analysis. Some agencies want a report they can send as-is, with their own branding, and less dashboard.
  4. Currency and billing. Some comparison guides list euro billing as a reason US agencies look elsewhere.
  5. Price transparency. When we checked Peec's pricing page on 9 October 2026, it listed the plans (Starter, Pro, Advanced, Enterprise) but didn't display prices to us. 2026 reviews report Starter at around €85 or $95 a month with about 50 prompts. Confirm with Peec directly.

Ranxii: for agencies that report on many clients

Ranxii is the narrowest tool on this list on purpose. It does one workflow: add a client, confirm about 20 buyer questions and up to 5 competitors, and Ranxii asks every question on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity once a week, stores each answer, and prepares a monthly report with your agency's logo and colour.

Choose it over Peec if your problem is "AI visibility in every client's monthly report" and you'd rather pay €99 for 20 clients than build a reporting layer on top of an analytics tool.

Stay with Peec if you need daily data, more engines, an API or Looker connector, or you mostly analyse a few big accounts in depth. Ranxii tracks weekly, on three engines, and has no API.

What you get that's unusual: no visibility scores. Numbers are shown as observed rates — "mentioned in 31 of 100 answers" — and every one opens the stored answers with mentions highlighted. If a client challenges a number, you show them the answers. See how to measure AI visibility for why we think this matters.

Otterly.AI: for the smallest budget

Otterly's Lite plan is $29 a month for 15 prompts tracked daily on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Standard is $189 for 100 prompts with unlimited workspaces, API access and a Looker Studio connector; Premium is $489 for 400. Gemini, AI Mode and Claude are add-ons (prices from otterly.ai/pricing, 9 October 2026).

Choose it over Peec if you track one to three brands and want AI Overviews included at the lowest monthly price.

Watch out for the per-account prompt pool. At 20 prompts per client, Lite covers less than one client. Our Otterly alternatives page covers when agencies outgrow it.

Scrunch: for the widest engine list

Scrunch includes ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta on every plan. Starter is $250 a month billed annually ($300 month-to-month) with 350 custom prompts and 3 seats; Growth is $417/$500 with 700 prompts (scrunch.com/pricing, 9 October 2026).

Choose it over Peec if clients ask about Claude or Meta AI specifically, or you need persona-based prompt sets.

Profound: for enterprise clients

Profound covers up to nine engines on Enterprise, with SSO, SOC 2 and prompt-volume data. On 9 October 2026 its public pricing page showed a free trial and custom-priced Enterprise; agency workspaces were reported earlier in 2026 at $399 per client per month.

Choose it over Peec if your clients are large brands whose procurement requires it. For most small agencies it's more than the retainer can carry — see Profound alternatives.

Semrush and Ahrefs: if you already pay for one

Semrush's AI Visibility plan is $99 per domain per month with 25 prompts tracked daily. Ahrefs Brand Radar offers custom prompts from €47 a month, with a small allowance included in paid Ahrefs plans, plus a market-level AI Visibility Index. Both are convenient if your team lives in those suites; per-domain or per-check pricing is the thing to model. Details in Semrush vs Ahrefs for AI visibility.

How to decide in an afternoon

  1. Write down your real roster. Number of clients you'd report on, prompts per client (20 is a sensible default), and engines the clients care about.
  2. Calculate cost per client for each shortlisted tool at that roster size — not the entry price.
  3. Ask each vendor how many times a prompt is asked per month, and how their headline metric is calculated. A single daily answer and a weekly answer averaged over a month are both fine; an unexplained "visibility score" is not.
  4. Run the same client through two tools for two weeks. Look at whether the numbers tell the same story, and which report you'd actually send.
  5. Open the raw answers. If you can't see what the engine said, you can't defend the number.

The best Peec alternative is the one whose per-client cost and output match what you sell. For many small agencies that's a reporting tool; for others it's Peec.
