The best AI visibility tools for SEO agencies in 2026
Seven AI visibility tools compared on what agencies actually pay for: engines, prompt limits, cadence, client reporting and cost per client. Prices checked October 2026.
On this page
Most "best AI visibility tools" lists are written by a vendor who puts itself first. This one is too — Ranxii is our product — so we've tried to make it useful anyway: every price below was checked on the vendor's own page on 9 October 2026, we say where another tool is the better choice, and we compare on the things an agency actually has to live with: how many clients you can afford to track, how often, on which engines, and what you can send the client at the end of the month.
The short answer
| Tool | Best for | Engines included | Entry price (checked 9 Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ranxii | Small agencies reporting AI visibility for many clients | ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity | €49/mo for 5 clients |
| Otterly.AI | Low-cost daily tracking for a few brands | ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot (Gemini, AI Mode, Claude as add-ons) | $29/mo, 15 prompts |
| Peec AI | Teams wanting a polished analytics UI and unlimited seats | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and others by plan | Not shown on its pricing page; reviews report ~€85–$95/mo |
| Profound | Enterprise brands and agencies with enterprise clients | Up to 9 engines on Enterprise | Free trial; Enterprise on request |
| Scrunch | Brands that need many engines including Claude and Meta | ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Meta | $250/mo billed annually |
| Semrush AI Visibility | Agencies already living in Semrush | ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, Perplexity | $99 (€94.94) per domain per month, billed annually |
| Ahrefs Brand Radar | Ahrefs users who want market-level AI data | AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot | Custom prompts from €47/mo; some included in paid Ahrefs plans |
If you only read one line: price the tool per client, not per account. A $29 plan with 15 prompts covers less than one client properly. The right question is what it costs to track 20 buyer questions for every client you report on.
How we compared them
An agency doesn't buy AI visibility tracking to look at a dashboard. It buys it to answer a client's question — "are we showing up in ChatGPT, and who is showing up instead?" — every month, for every client, without someone spending a day typing prompts. So we looked at five things:
- Engines. Which assistants are included in the base price, and which are paid add-ons.
- Prompt allowance and cadence. How many questions you can track, and how often each is asked. Daily tracking produces more samples; weekly tracking is cheaper per client. Both are legitimate if the tool is honest about it.
- Cost per client. What it costs to track a realistic prompt set (about 20 questions) for 5, 15 or 30 clients.
- Client reporting. Can you send something a client understands, with your agency's name on it?
- Evidence. Can you open the actual AI answers behind a number? When a client asks "why?", a screenshot from last Tuesday is not an answer.
We deliberately did not score "AI visibility rankings". AI answers vary from one request to the next; a large study by SparkToro and Gumshoe found that ChatGPT and Google's AI returned the same list of brands less than once in a hundred runs. A tool that reports "#3 in ChatGPT" is reporting one sample. More on that in why ChatGPT gives different answers every time.
Ranxii
What it is: AI visibility reporting built for small SEO agencies. You add a client's website; Ranxii suggests about 20 buyer questions and 3–5 competitors, you edit them, and Ranxii asks every question on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity once a week. Every answer is stored. Monthly reports carry your agency's logo and colour and can be shared as a private link or PDF.
Pricing: Starter €49/month for 5 active clients, Agency €99 for 20, Studio €199 for 50. Up to 25 prompts and 5 competitors per client. 14-day trial with 2 clients, no card.
Where it's strong: Per-client economics, and reporting you can defend. Numbers are shown as observed rates ("mentioned in 31 of 100 answers") rather than scores, and every figure opens the stored answers with the client and competitor mentions highlighted.
Where it's not the right choice: Ranxii tracks three engines weekly. It does not track Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Claude or Copilot, it does not have an API, and it doesn't produce SEO recommendations — it shows what happened and leaves the strategy to the agency. If a client specifically needs AI Overviews data or daily movements, use one of the tools below.
Otterly.AI
What it is: A self-serve AI search monitoring tool with a low entry price and daily tracking.
Pricing (otterly.ai/pricing, 9 Oct 2026): Lite $29/month with 15 prompts and one workspace; Standard $189/month with 100 prompts and unlimited workspaces; Premium $489/month with 400 prompts. Base engines are ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot; Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude are add-ons priced per tier (for example $59/month each for Gemini or AI Mode on Standard). Standard adds a Looker Studio connector and API access. Extra prompts are $99 per 100 per month. The page also showed lower prices with annual billing.
Where it's strong: The cheapest way to start, daily cadence, Google AI Overviews included, and a Looker Studio connector for agencies that already report there.
Watch out for: Prompt allowances are account-wide. Fifteen clients with 20 prompts each is 300 prompts — on Otterly that means Standard plus two prompt add-ons, before engine add-ons. See Otterly.AI alternatives for when agencies outgrow it.
Peec AI
What it is: A Berlin-based AI search analytics platform with a clean interface, competitor views and source analysis. Widely used by in-house teams and agencies.
Pricing: When we checked on 9 October 2026, Peec's pricing page listed Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise plans but did not display prices to us. 2026 reviews consistently report Starter at around €85 or $95 per month with about 50 prompts, rising to Pro and Advanced tiers, three AI models included by default with additional models as add-ons, and unlimited seats on every plan. Peec also runs a separate agency program. Confirm the current numbers with Peec before you budget.
Where it's strong: Analysis depth, source/citation views and team access without per-seat costs. Agencies that want to dig into a few large accounts tend to like it.
Watch out for: Prompt-based pricing again — calculate what your whole client roster costs, not one brand. More in Peec AI alternatives.
Profound
What it is: The best-funded platform in the category, aimed at enterprise marketing teams: many engines, prompt volume data, agent and content features, SOC 2, SSO.
Pricing: On 9 October 2026 the public pricing page showed a free trial (50 prompts, tracked daily for 7 days, on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews) and a custom-priced Enterprise plan with up to nine engines. Earlier in 2026 Profound also sold self-serve Starter and Growth plans and an agency plan with per-client workspaces; third-party reviews report those at $99 and $399 per month billed annually, and $399 per month per client workspace for agencies. Ask Profound which of these you can buy today.
Where it's strong: Breadth and enterprise readiness. If your client is a large brand with procurement requirements, Profound is often the tool their team already knows.
Watch out for: At per-client workspace pricing, it rarely fits a retainer of a few thousand euros a month. See Profound alternatives for smaller agencies.
Scrunch
What it is: An AI visibility platform with very broad engine coverage and persona-based prompts.
Pricing (scrunch.com/pricing, 9 Oct 2026): Starter $250/month billed annually ($300 month-to-month) with 350 custom prompts and 3 seats; Growth $417/month billed annually ($500 month-to-month) with 700 prompts; Enterprise custom. All plans include ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta. Starter has a 7-day trial without a card. Agencies are pointed to a separate partner program.
Where it's strong: The widest engine list at a mid-market price, including Claude and Meta AI.
Watch out for: 350 prompts goes a long way for one brand; for an agency it's roughly 15–17 clients at 20 prompts each — check how workspaces and client separation work for you.
Semrush AI Visibility
What it is: Semrush's AI visibility product, sitting next to its SEO toolkit.
Pricing (semrush.com/pricing/ai, 9 Oct 2026): $99 per domain per month (shown to EU visitors as €94.94, billed annually) with 25 custom prompts tracked daily, covering ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, plus AI visibility reports for any domain.
Where it's strong: If your agency already runs on Semrush, having AI visibility next to organic rankings is convenient, and its market-level data is useful for prospecting.
Watch out for: Per-domain pricing. Ten clients is ten domains.
Ahrefs Brand Radar
What it is: Ahrefs' AI visibility product, with two modes: custom prompts you define, and an "AI Visibility Index" built from a large database of prompts modelled on real searches.
Pricing (ahrefs.com/brand-radar, 9 Oct 2026): Custom Prompts from €47/month, with a small allowance included free in paid Ahrefs plans; the AI Visibility Index from €179/month with about 2,500 checks a month and per-check overage. Platforms include AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Copilot, with Claude available.
Where it's strong: Market-level data without writing prompts, which is excellent for pitches and category research.
Watch out for: Check-based metering. Work out how many checks your client prompts consume before you commit.
What it costs to track 15 clients
Here's the arithmetic for a typical small agency: 15 clients, 20 buyer questions each, so 300 tracked prompts. These are list prices from the vendors' pages on 9 October 2026, before VAT, before engine add-ons, and they ignore the fact that cadence differs (daily vs weekly), so treat this as a starting point for your own calculation.
| Tool | Plan that covers 300 prompts / 15 clients | Monthly list price |
|---|---|---|
| Ranxii | Agency (20 clients, ~20–25 prompts each, weekly) | €99 |
| Otterly.AI | Standard (100) + 2 × 100 extra prompts | $189 + $198 = $387 |
| Scrunch | Starter (350 prompts) | $300 month-to-month / $250 annual |
| Semrush AI Visibility | 15 domains × 25 prompts | 15 × $99 = $1,485 |
| Peec AI / Profound | Depends on plan and agency terms — ask for a quote | — |
The point isn't that the cheapest tool wins. Daily tracking on four engines is a different product from weekly tracking on three. The point is that per-account pricing hides the per-client cost, and an agency's margin lives in the per-client cost.
Which one should you choose?
- You run a small agency and need AI visibility in every client's monthly report: Ranxii. That's the job it was built for.
- You have two or three brands and want the lowest monthly bill, with Google AI Overviews: Otterly.AI Lite or Standard.
- You want deep analytics for a few large accounts and your whole team in the tool: Peec AI.
- Your clients are enterprises with procurement, SSO and many engines: Profound or Scrunch.
- You already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs and need occasional AI visibility checks: start with what's in your suite, and read Semrush vs Ahrefs for AI visibility before adding a dedicated tool.
Whichever you pick, judge it on the method, not the dashboard. Ask the vendor how many times each prompt is asked, how a "visibility score" is calculated, and whether you can see the raw answers. If they can't show you the answers, you can't show your client either. Our guide to measuring AI visibility covers the metrics worth paying for.
